Gutensteiner Alpen: wenig Schnee, aber er ist nun da!

Snow condition
Muckenkogel: Thanks to the snow groomer tracks from the valley, there is a stable snow cover that allows you to ski down without any problems. On mountains in the region where the snow has fallen naturally, the snow cover in the valley may still be too thin for carefree skiing.
Snow quality
The temperatures in the Gutenstein Alps are low at the moment, which is good for the snow quality, and where there was a little more snow, it was quite fluffy and nice to ski, but without a base, i.e. further down, where there is less snow, the alpine ground was easy to feel in places.
Risks
LWS 2 or over 1200m 3 was issued. There was not as much fresh snow in this region as elsewhere, which is why the classification can be so low.
Overall impression
The ascent and descent were possible without any problems, and there was even fluffy snow to dust off in a few places on the descent. Relatively good conditions for the current snow conditions in Lower Austria, but no outstandingly good touring conditions or powder fun. But if things are going well on the local mountain, you're still happy of course.
A lot of people for a Friday.
