First over the ski slope with the touring skis, then over the Fadensteig with the skis on the backpack. The Fadensteig itself was very blown off and bare. Over the Plato to the summit there is also very little snow due to the storm of the last few days. In the gullies the snow thickness is still very low for this time of year but the descent was a dream.

After the tree line, about 10-15cm of fresh snow fell on a well consolidated layer of old snow. At the entrance to the "Breite Ries", a few snow mouths catch the eye. In the Ries itself, the conditions were perfect.

Risks

According to the avalanche warning service, there was LWS 1 today, which was justified, and the level above the tree line was judged to be 2. Pay attention to larger accumulations of drift snow on steeper slopes above 40°, as it seemed very brittle and unstable to me.

Very nice tour with a great descent.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
