Snow condition
A good meter of snow in the forest with powdery snow that has been preserved for several days. Some 1 to 2 cm ice crystals on the surface In the sunny area, heavier. In the shade of the trees, 20 cm of powder with a good base. Descent without stone contact and possible to the car without problems. Steep start, then open forest descent and a woodcut to the car.
Snow quality
Start of the tour at around 800 m in the shadow of the mountains. The ridge was windswept and covered with 5 cm of powder from Tuesday and Wednesday. Partly 2 meter high cornices from the strong north wind of the last weeks. Entry at around 1600 meters around noon. Some heavy snow on the way in but still a dream to ski. Then a pleasure all the way to the car. (See photos)
Risks
Entering from the south. No tensions detected and the snow was well set. Top situation and conditions.LWS 2 with danger spots on the north.
Overall impression
It hasn't been better this season. Hope for more days like this.
