Nordostseitige Skitour (Schnalzstein zwischen Göller und Gippel) bei traumhaften Wetter und schöne In-die-Welt-Blicke. Leider war die Schneequalität im oberen Bereich vom Sturm komplett zerstört.

Snow condition
In terms of the amount of snow (apart from the blown-off areas), it's actually still good. Typical for this winter is the slight increase in snow thickness with altitude.
Snow quality
Unfortunately, starting just below the tree line, it was already heavily impaired by past storms. Everything from smooth/hard to dunes similar to zastrugi can be found, and in the lower forest areas the dry old snow is still quite easy to ski, but still only 1 point, as we had chosen this tour precisely because of the steep, free slopes at the top.
Risks
According to the LLB warning level 1, we were also unable to observe any current incidents or warning signs. On the steep, avalanche-prone slopes below the Gamsmauer, small, snow-covered, old snow slabs were visible.
Overall impression
All in all, a wonderful day outdoors with really impressive views, but a failure in terms of skiing enjoyment. Very cold all day in the (shady) valley. At the summit (1546m) it was just below zero and windless.
