Still sufficient for standard tours. In the specific case of the ice pit, it was possible to ski down the forest section on a well-trodden cart track. The conditions in the ditch area of the ice pit were also still good, almost like a piste in places.

Snow quality

Different: in the forest (less radiation) rotten snow. In the open areas, supporting melted snow cover. Further down, however, it is very variable. Harsch cover and almost bottomless slush alternate. Of course, it also depends on the time of day (we were out and about very early, when much of the snow was still hard).

Risks

Low. Pay attention to the daytime course (danger of wet snow slides).

Spring conditions at the beginning of February. What a crazy winter. But the ice pit in the sunshine is always something special. And if you catch the right time to enter (unfortunately we didn't) you are rewarded with good firn conditions.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
