Still very good, nothing has really changed here since the day before yesterday. Just like in the Eisenerz, there is currently enough snow for everything in the Gesäuse, but it's clear that if it continues as warm as it is now, this may change quickly.

Increasingly difficult. Today, with only light cloud cover, slightly lower temperatures and rising winds, firn was already difficult to catch, and above about 1900m there is still some powder snow in areas that are strongly influenced by the wind, but this is so irregular that it is not worth aiming for it.

Risks

Quite relaxed in my opinion. Sometimes you still have to watch out for glacier snow, somewhere high up you will probably also find enough drift snow that you should avoid...

Great snow conditions, but the quality is lacking. Another decent snowfall down to the valley would be great, otherwise calm, high-pressure weather for firn skiing.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
