There is enough snow to ski down to the valley without any problems. Some areas have been blown away by the wind, leaving stones and gravel sticking out.

Snow quality

In the northern exposures, there is a colorful mix of all negative snow variations: "from soft to hard." In the northern gullies, it is mostly hard and icy. In the areas of the mountain pines, there is an approximately 10 cm thick layer of harsh snow, some of which is load-bearing. The snow in the lower areas and in the forest is heavily wind-pressed (also called stiff powder by the locals) and therefore feels like skiing.

Risks

The only dangers in the northern areas currently come from the large overgrown entrances to the gullies.

If I'd had a bigger time window, I would definitely have done something more sensible. On the south side, you can definitely find top firn on the Schneeberg!

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!

Thank you for your contribution to the PowderGuide project!
