Snow condition
Down in the valley there is very little snow and we had to carry our skis for the first/last few meters to the car. But at about 1000m the amount of snow changes abruptly. Good ground and about 20 cm of fresh snow. Due to the strong wind, however, some areas are very blown off and others are massively blown in.
Snow quality
There is wonderful powder in the forest. At higher altitudes, there is always drift snow due to the wind.
Risks
Today's problem was the drift snow. Almost all the gullies have been blown in quite heavily and a few cornices are already forming in the areas close to the crest.
Overall impression
Better than expected. A truly beautiful winter landscape begins at around 1000m on the north side. On the descent, it was once again dusty and the white rush triggered a classic overdose of endorphins!
