With 120cm (snow measuring station of the LWD Styria) there is now a good snow situation on the Niederalpl. It's deep winter and it's also easy to ski in the forest. The mountain pines up in the summit area are quite well snowed in (better than in some years with more snow).

Overall impression

Equal

Despite the bad weather today (light snowfall, poor visibility in the summit area and a bit windy) there was a very large crowd. Parking spaces were almost scarce (the Niederalpl ski area is currently closed and its parking lots were therefore only partially cleared). Despite the very fluffy fresh snow, the descent was quite arduous as the slopes were already heavily tracked and you could clearly feel the "trenches" when skiing down.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
