Snow condition
The snow conditions were really very good in areas sheltered from the wind (see picture). In open areas, it was rather pressed and blown away by the wind.
Snow quality
A little heavier but still good and easy. Good base under 40cm of fresh snow. No rock contact but a few branches now and then.
Risks
Drift snow parquet in the east and north-east exposures. Easily recognizable and avoidable. Caution is advised above the tree line.
Overall impression
Winter at last and now it's really here.
4 stars for the first good day in the east.
