Really good and no contact with stones or wood. Homogeneous snow cover whether in sparse woodland or on open areas.
Snow quality
Sensational to perfect. Very cold start to the tour with dry, windless -10 degrees. Fluffy and loose in the shaded areas. A little heavier where the sun was inside. About 10cm fell yesterday with no wind influence and cold temperatures.
Risks
LWS 2 The snowpack was much more settled on the north-facing exposure than on Thursday (LWS3). In the sunny exposed areas, the first freshly fallen 10cm shifted downwards quite quickly due to the temperature. As they fell without wind, it was rather safe.
Overall impression
It can go on like this. The best day of the year.
