Good snow conditions, in the village (Frein an der Mürz) an estimated 50-60 cm, rapidly increasing towards the top.
Snow quality
Cold but dull (windy!) snow, unfortunately not as fluffy as we had hoped. Even in the forest you could feel the wind.
Risks
Watch out! Even far below the tree line there is still packed drift snow. I even triggered a mini snow slab in a steep forest ditch at around 1200m (the tree line is around 1500m here) ...).
Overall impression
There is nothing negative to say about the snow conditions. You can also make good progress in steep forest trenches ...
