Easy come, easy go - yay wet snow in the Mürzsteg Alps

Snow condition
The quantity is quite good for the time of year. Start over the village meadows near Frein without any problems. Rapidly increasing with altitude. Deadwood and windthrow also snowed in well in places. Old slashes with the corresponding tree stumps even form drivable pillows.
Snow quality
Loose snow that has become damp to wet overnight (foam roll snow). Only in the summit area was the snow cover so solidified by wind (harschdeckel) and the thaw-frost cycle that a strange mixture of hard snow, ice and something like melting harsch had formed due to the afternoon sun (south-facing slope). Quite fun and nice to ride on some turns, but clearly against the intention (and the name) of this website. Therefore only a maximum of one point possible!
Risks
No direct slopes visible (not even on the steep slopes around the perimeter, as far as can be seen). Strong settlement due to heating.
Overall impression
The second point because of the sun from late morning, actually wintry conditions to the eye and a few nice turns on a few open slopes. Nevertheless, a strong deterioration since yesterday due to the warming. We'll have to wait for the predicted fresh snow at the weekend / beginning of next week. Let's hope it brings a reset.
