Snow condition
A good 30cm in the valley, 70cm in the wind-protected summit areas. On this tour on the foothills of the Alps, the old snow cover is so thin in places that grass comes out again in the touring area.
Snow quality
Dusty and fine at the top - unfortunately my forest slope was over far too quickly.... Good, loose pow even in the valley at 850m thanks to the low temperature.
Risks
Tense 4rer, but compared to the Garmisch region yesterday, no extremely easy slipping of fresh snow packs on the old snow layer. Justifiable risk on the flat and much-traveled tour.
Overall impression
Lots of people, the avalanche danger currently only allows a few flat tours. Nevertheless, I still made a few nice turns.
