The amount of snow is below average but most ski tours can be undertaken. You can start from valley locations and there is usually enough snow in the forest or in scree cirques. Due to the strong sunshine of the last few days, the south-facing slopes are already thinning out. Nevertheless, touring is still possible.

Snow quality

Contrary to expectations, the snow quality on the shaded side was quite good and there was still some powder to be found. However, as the last snowfall was 8 days ago, the most popular ski tours are already heavily tracked and the snow cover is correspondingly marked.

Risks

On our tour, the avalanche danger was not so great. There is no old snow cover and neither sliding snow nor drifting snow could be observed.

I was surprised that the snow was still good on the north side and also partly on the east and west sides. However, most of the tours are heavily tracked.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
