Powder to slush around the Reuttener Hütte
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
Depending on the exposure and local differences, more than enough base to bare vegetables, especially near the ridge on the west side. The approx. 5 centimeters that came overnight are definitely welcome. Streams are open.
Snow quality
Still the finest powder on shady slopes at around 1800m. Unfortunately, the fresh snow didn't always fall on a firm surface - but in places it was very easy to ski. Unfortunately, we were mostly on south-west to east-facing slopes. Here it was wet and quite heavy due to the unexpected sunshine, and at lower altitudes there were even slabs of ice melting on the forest path in the afternoon.
Risks
The effects of the wind from the west over the last few days were clearly visible right down into the valley, e.g. a thick cornice on the edge of the terrain near the road. Otherwise, there were no other conspicuous features.
Overall impression
Skiable down to the valley, a few decent turns and sun :) Even the storm had its advantages ;)
