For all those who have a longer journey: Meaningful training rounds on skis are not possible on the northern edge of the Alps. The picture shows the piste on the Tegelberg above the Rohrkopfhütte. You can force your way down to the Rohrkopfhütte, but it's not "worth it".

I'd rather bike south (it's wonderful) and then drink at the Christmas market for powder.
