Basically there is snow up here - a positive thing this winter. But when you're 2500 m above sea level. at 2500 m above sea level at the beginning of February - then something has gone very wrong. In areas where the wind has helped, you can ski a few free turns - the rest......
Snow quality
Rain ! up to 2700 m and in huge quantities. Any ski tour in mid-August in the Bavarian foothills of the Alps would have similar snow quality. The snow was damn wet and heavy.
Risks
With the persistent rainfall, you can really feel the weight of the snow. I think that there will be significant tension here in the next few days, especially on steeper terrain. The snow is soaked through to the ground. The fresh snow that is now coming will certainly not improve matters.
