The southern exposure not only gives faces a brown complexion. At all altitudes, brown meadow patches peek through the snow cover in places. The spring-like snow quality ensures that sharks are nevertheless not a danger. That's why I give it three stars. But the tendency is strongly towards two.

Hard, pressed snow
Firn
Jelly snow

Away from the pistes, we were able to enjoy firn runs from around 11:45 am today. Some of the old frozen tracks spoil the fun a little, but with a bit of searching you can also find less chopped-up areas. However, the conditions are not worth more than three stars. At least within the area accessible from the lift. Firntours could be very good right now.

Risks

No warning signs
South-West West

Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)

On the south side, spring conditions prevail. Accordingly, the main danger comes from daytime warming.

Worse

Spring has arrived in Andermatt. Use it for firn runs while there's still snow left. Lifting was nice today. But ski touring would certainly be the better choice in terms of snow.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
