The road into the Bedretto valley was only open as far as Bedretto today, so only the tour towards Capanna Cristallina would be possible, which is probably quite threatened by avalanches in the lower part. As a soloist with 100cm of fresh snow and 3+, I preferred to do a NE-facing safety tour from Realp. Enough snow from below, 40-50cm of fresh snow with a firmer layer about 15-20cm below the surface. Between 2000 and 2300 you couldn't get through this layer with 108mm, nice to ski 4*. Between 1700 and 2000m the ski went through this layer, OK to ski, but no more, 3*. On the second round, a storm came up at around 1pm and solidified the surface in no time, so 2.5*. At the top it was very windy from the morning onwards, in the afternoon on the return to Airolo the peaks above Pescium were shrouded in snow clouds. It was also very warm (yesterday too). Conclusion: I'm not expecting really nice powder when we can finally go to All'Acqua tomorrow. But the apartment for the home office is booked and paid for the whole week. I'll report back tomorrow.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
