Snow condition
A good half meter in the valley, more further up. However, the foehn did a great job and blew some lines down and out. It looked better at the end of October. The basis for a good winter is definitely there.

At the top, where the wind was, pressed powder. The further down you went, the more powdery it became. Well-placed powder...
Risks
At the top, where the wind was in, certainly tricky. Drift snow but easy to recognize. Saw a few slabs that had fallen off steep summits. Cracks caused by blasting in the summit area were quite massive.
Overall impression
Initially had two good rides over the glacier, although the fun at the top was limited. Then the visibility got bad and after a longer break I had a few rides down into the valley through the mountain pines. Can't complain...
