FullHouse - Tour auf den Tälligrat

Overall impression
Snow condition
The last snowfall has also provided a base in Andermatt. Further back in Realp there is about 60-80cm of snow at the starting altitude of 1500m. This increases significantly as the altitude rises. It's difficult to make any real statements, but at the top it's well snowed in thanks to the many south-facing jams. The further towards Ticino, the better.
Snow quality
Ideally between 2200m and 1800m. Above that, the wind was at work and the little fresh snow was not enough to prevent the hard old snow cover from being felt. Further down, calmed by the wind, very fluffy powder. Close to the valley, the relatively high temperatures were noticeable - > light cover.
Risks
3s with a focus on new and drift snow above 2200m + sliding snow avalanches. These are also obvious and some of them have already left. Snow flags on the summits show that a lot is being transported at the top.
Overall impression
The plan to go to Andermatt today was abandoned at the sight of the queue at the gondola. Plan B was to walk comfortably up the Stotzigen. This didn't work out as it was even busier there than in Andermatt ;)
Finally plan C: Tälligrat - nice unexciting defensive tour with only 50 other people, but room for the descent.
The next few days certainly worthwhile touring conditions in the region.
