Snow report Arlberg, 01/03/2015
Viel Sonnenschein, aber verregneter Schnee

Overall impression
Snow condition
After a hurricane at night, with rain in the evening, the snow was either a layer of ice or blown hard snow. At higher altitudes there was shooting in the morning, and larger avalanches and snow slabs came down.
Snow quality
Conditions were good on the pistes, but off-piste you had to search for a long time to make usable descents. In exposed areas, there were ice caps that were breaking in and solid drift snow in between.
Risks
No self-triggers, but blasted avalanches had high tear-off edges. In the terrain, only medium-steep and steep slopes were dangerous.
Overall impression
There were few opportunities for off-piste skiing. You had to look for the hollows with powder snow, and these also turned into broken snow. However, the slopes were easy to ski
