Variations of snow cover

The snow conditions on the Arlberg are still good and you can do a lot with it. Well-snowed-in old tracks didn't spoil the downhill fun today and there was little or no need to worry about stones.

Powder snow

Fine powder snow in the north-facing terrain, which is partly soft and partly somewhat harder layers, but is still very easy to ski. There were no old tracks to be felt and so the 20 cm of fresh snow that fell today without the influence of wind was really usable and fine to use.

Risks

North-West

Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)

Close to the ridge, there is definitely a strong wind influence and drifts that need to be taken into account. You can tell that the wind has worked hard in places, but the snow cover has already solidified somewhat.

Beautiful day of touring on the Arlberg with good views, great weather and very fine snow. Of course there could be a bit more snow, but you should be happy with what is currently available. In any case, it's worth walking a little further to be able to ski untracked slopes.

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
