Sonnenkopf ... great skiing day and even better decision to pack the stone skis

Overall impression
Snow condition
There is still far too little snow, and although it is possible to ski down the valley, you often come into contact with stones. In the forest, it is completely impossible to find a nice spot without roots, stones or branches lying directly under the snow cover. Even above the 2000 meter mark, there are always stone contacts. If you love your skis or have new ones at the start, you should consider going off-piste.
Snow quality
The snow quality today was much better than yesterday, the snow was fluffy and not too slow. However, it got a bit heavier towards the evening below about 1500 meters, which was quite strange considering the temperatures.
Risks
Again and again you could see new smaller cones, although there is not really much snow (except in gullies) in the upper areas, as the wind blew some of it away yesterday. However, BEWARE, it comes off quite easily and you should be on your guard.
Overall impression
Super ski day, which was marked by a few coreshots, but that's not so tragic thanks to Steinski. Unfortunately, there's still not enough snow to really think about nice freeriding ... there's always the ulterior motive of whether there might be a rock before the next turn. But great people = great day.
