Pow on Ice
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
Heavy rain and lots of wind at the end of last week. On Sunday, heavy snowfall with lots of wind - much better! The result where the wind didn't blow it away was about 30 cm of ice. But there are a lot of good pockets and couliors that had enough snow blown in that you didn't hit the hard base.
Snow quality
The snow was super light in the morning, faceshot powder. In the afternoon, however, it got so warm that the snow became wetter and heavier - but it was still easy to ski.
Risks
Due to the extreme wind yesterday, there are naturally accumulations of drift snow. Extreme caution is required, especially on steeper terrain. The fresh snow naturally slides off very easily on the icy surface.
Overall impression
It was still a beautiful powder day, where the sun even came out and the snow quality was excellent in the morning.
The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.
Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
