Snow condition
After the snowfall of around 40 cm on Saturday and Sunday (significantly less in St. Anton), the snow conditions are quite good. On steeper slopes, you quickly encounter a hard, icy surface despite the fresh snow. On flatter terrain it is pretty much perfect. Towards the valley station, you can still expect to come into contact with stones and the ground.
Snow quality
The snow was of the good, cold, light, fluffy variety. Perfect faceshot pow thanks to the cold temperatures and low wind.
Risks
There is still a considerable risk of avalanches in the steeper alpine terrain, particularly due to the weak, icy layer.
Overall impression
Very nice day with sun and cold powder. Only 3 stars as you quickly scratched the icy layer on the steeper slopes.
