Snow condition

In the night from 03 - 04.02 there was another 15 cm of fresh snow, which fell without wind. There is enough snow everywhere. All obstacles are well snowed in. Free choice of lines possible at all altitudes.

Snow quality

4 von 5 Sterne

The snow quality varies greatly depending on the exposure. In the north, east and west exposures, the snow is still really good powder. On the south-facing slopes, the snow already has a heavy cover.

Risks

Hazard warnings are very difficult to read as the 15 cm of fresh snow fell on a layer of old snow without wind. So there were no obvious signs of wind drifting, drift snow accumulations, etc. On the south-facing slopes, loose snow avalanches kept coming loose spontaneously. Old slab avalanches could be found in the north, east and south exposures.

: A casual tour to the Saumspitze in perfect weather and excellent powder.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!

Thank you for your contribution to the PowderGuide project!
