Snow condition
The few centimeters of the last few days don't make the dog fat!!! I.e. the base is still present at higher altitudes with a tendency towards 3 stars and is sprinkled with a few centimeters of fresh snow every day ... but below 1500 meters there is a distinct lack of snow for this time of year.
Snow quality
Today it was already clearly 3 stars, because in contrast to yesterday there was really nice fluffy snow up to about 1100 meters, only further down the snow became a little wetter. Generally speaking, it's very pleasant to ride and if it keeps snowing like this today, tomorrow will be one of the dream days of the season, given the weather forecast ... and I won't be at the start tomorrow Have fun everyone else ... enjoy it.
Risks
The thin layer of fresh snow is still quite loose and comes off quite quickly under the slightest pressure, which is of course due to the drop in temperature. However, the base is quite safe in most places. And, as always, the phrase .... comes up when the slopes are fully loaded. We saw a few avalanche cones under north-facing slopes that must have started tonight. Some of them were pretty big ... yes, even a 2 is no guarantee!!! PS: No pictures were taken of the avalanche cones as the terrain was not safe and nothing at all could be seen from a distance.
Overall impression
Great day, especially in the morning, then from midday there was a lot of fresh snow and icy temperatures. Luckily the wind spared us and that means we'll have a lot of fun tomorrow, but we didn't take any pictures today as visibility was very poor in the afternoon.
