In the sheltered forest 15 cm of good powder, otherwise fresh snow blown away... the wind has blown away ridges and created large areas of ice on west and even east-facing slopes. Closer to the valley, the snow conditions are getting better, with plenty of snow down into the valley.

Well, open spaces with strong wind-pressed pow, better in the forest because it is looser.

Risks

Fresh snow from Thursday and Friday is poorly combined with old snow cover in the forest and slides off when driving. Otherwise wind signs everywhere. The output was 2, certainly fits.

Expectations were too high. There was a whiteout in the summit area, the weather only got good after 14:00 - too late for the planned tour. Had hoped for more snow and was surprised that the Verwall side, like the Albona west side, was nothing good for me today due to storm damage to the snow cover.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
