There's a lot of snow this year compared to the last few years with little snow. Even under the Flexenbahn some people find a way down towards Stuben, last year there was no snow here at all
Snow quality
You can actually still find powder in the flatter gullies that have been blown in and also ski it. Otherwise it's a bit of a mixed bag, sticky, harsh and sometimes icy.
Risks
It is precisely this drift snow that can still be skied on that often forms a surface slide in the direction of the valley on steep slopes at higher altitudes. See picture of small skier avalanche.
Overall impression
Very nice and relaxed until noon with good visibility, then strong wind with snow on top, strong wind with rain below.
