Snow condition

A bit poor for March, but with the current snowfall it's bound to be much better tomorrow. It's really coming down, especially at lower altitudes.

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne

Yesterday morning it was easily 4 stars. But unfortunately, the foehn really put a dent in the beautiful powder yesterday afternoon. This morning there were still some good turns to be found in the shady slopes and since about 1 o'clock it's been snowing like crazy on both the Tyrolean and the Vorarlberg side.

Risks

Very dangerous at the moment: weak layers, drift snow accumulation and yesterday also slope warming. Everything has to be taken into consideration when moving off-piste. Many descents and accidents yesterday on the Arlberg. Unfortunately also 2 fatalities.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne

Only 3 stars today, hardly any visibility but still good powder to be found. Unfortunately no photos from the mountain today but I'll take one from the window (Braz): Dumping hard!

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
