Snow condition
From 1,800 m, contact with stones is (almost) avoidable. You should be careful in windy places.
Snow quality
The snow was powdery all day on the steep north-facing slopes or on the shaded side. On all other expos, the snow was quickly heavy up to an altitude of 2,400 m. It was a surprisingly perfect day for this time of year.
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
Overall impression
For me, it was the best day I've had this season. The first ones in the wide north gully from the Albona and towards Langen and several circuits with first track lines. The Schindlerrinnen to the Ulmerhütte were also in good condition. By midday, everything near the lifts had been tracked but the snow was also heavy on all the sunny slopes. All in all, it was a fantastic day with great cinema on the Arlberg.
