Variations of snow cover

The snow conditions are clearly tending towards two stars. In the northern sector, however, there is still some snow up to medium altitudes. And in the southern sector you have to go high up to find snow next to the rolled bands. Hinterrendl/Gampberg, for example, is still possible with a few pieces of snow on the Forststr.

Today it was soft almost everywhere right from the start. Only shadow holes like the west gullies on the Schindler were hard. On the north side it was quite good to slush around 11-12 o'clock above 2200m in the terrain. At the bottom it was a heavy swamp.

Risks

Old snow problem
Fresh avalanches
Diurnal warming
Much water in the snow cover

The sun licks at the snow and the valleys glow lush green. It's nice to hear the blackbirds chirping while skiing. A good spring day with a good crew.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
