Snow condition
We started from the Alpe Rauz. In the lower area you have to carry a short distance, further up there will probably be another 10m of snow from tomorrow. Otherwise you can ski through - at least on the slopes
Snow quality
We set off at around 5:40 and had a clean crust right up to the top. We then had some breakfast at the top and left around 9. It was still too early in the upper third. The further down we got, the more fun it was. You don't have to start quite that early at the moment. I think a start around 7 am is enough at the moment. The critical section at the top is the descent.
Risks
Further up, a few cornices still hang over the ascent, below the Maroiköpfe. These actually come at some point. (At least we've seen them several times in the last few years.) Further down, almost everything has actually unloaded. As Klar has already written, avalanches of all sizes have already come down here.
Overall impression
Like the season, like the end. The winter with little snow has clearly left its mark here too. The overall impression is that there's simply no foundation here - otherwise a very conciliatory finish. To be honest, I'm looking forward to my new bike - then I can finally devote myself to the summer
