Snow condition
Unfortunately, there is still only enough snow for off-piste tours in Tyrol in the far west. At lower altitudes (< 1800m), however, it has gotten worse there too since last weekend. However, you can still get to higher altitudes in the valley if the ground is meadowy. Above 2000m acceptable snow conditions, even in somewhat rockier terrain. Compact base with 20-25cm of fresh snow on top.
Video
Snow quality
Above approx. 2000m, 20-25cm of good powder snow on a compact base. Further down the fresh snow becomes less and below approx. 1900m there is only 10cm of powder on a crust. Fine snow all day on higher shaded slopes, on the first descent on the south-east side the powder was already slightly wet in the morning.
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
The main danger comes from concealed stones.
Overall impression
Skied up 3 times to make the relatively long journey worthwhile. Found good snow and no damage to equipment. It's about time that the rest of Tyrol got some snow :-)
