Snow condition
Last year during the carnival vacations, the snow conditions were pretty similar. The whole thing has to settle again then the stones will be well covered or visible, which you sometimes get stuck on. There is still too little in the valleys in the forest, but that will come. Some of the trenches haven't been filled in yet either, they still need to be filled in. Similar to crevasses :) All variants in very good conditions. Maroiköpfl to Langen and into Verwalltal were great. Down to Langen with more wind influence. The stream is also easy to cross. The road into the Verwalltal is cleared up to the inn and you have to order a cab. Buses are not running yet.
Snow quality
Good everywhere! Everything has settled a bit and it no longer splashes in your face but only up to your stomach. But great to ride. Even south-facing at high altitude. But will be worse today and tomorrow with a completely south-facing orientation. Pay attention to the terrain.
Risks
On the second day, we had no alarm signs. But I would still be careful on the north side. Particularly on the ridges, there is a lot of drifting which has certainly not yet eased with the current very low temperatures. We didn't see any spontaneous snow slabs or snow triggered by skiers. However, on Sunday you could clearly see how the sliding snow mouths had opened up further compared to Saturday. There is movement everywhere and caution is advised. On Saturday, two of them also fell, one of them close to the ski area. At lower elevations around the tree line, surface rime, especially around streams. Beware of terrain traps! But the current danger situation is easy to recognize and is not "yet" hidden in the snow cover.
Overall impression
What a life... Thousands of vertical meters of the best powder in the last few days. So many good days in a row have been rare in recent years. And better to wax over it again cold, my skis were already very dull.
