Snow report Arlberg, 12/15/2017
Today we went to the Arlberg
Snow condition

Overall impression
Snow condition
Amazing base right up to the villages, but the storm a few days ago has blown off areas above the tree line. There was about 20cm of fresh snow in the valley and up to 60cm on the mountain.
Snow quality
A few slopes have a small wind cover (western exposure). In the hollow at Kapall, however, you could ski beautiful lines. From 1500m upwards, we had a rain crust of less than 20cm of medium weight. Despite the amount of snow, cold and relatively little sunshine, it wasn't the blowerpow we had hoped for, but maybe we found it further up (2200m+).
Risks
Valluga didn't open until 12 noon and Schindlergrat didn't open at all. We did see a few snow slabs, actually only due to blasting, but as we were at 2000 m, it was safe for us.
Overall impression
The weather was still slightly hazy at first. But it cleared up more and more over time. As it's still early season and there was no bluebird, it was quite empty. The next few days should bring another 60cm+ of snow. It's going to be a party! #staysafe
