Back at the place of horror - ArlbergOst
Snow condition

Snow condition
There was about 15cm of soaking wet snow tonight. That doesn't change the miserable situation. Especially as it rained a long way up today...
Snow quality
Ok, soft and grippy, better than PUR artificial snow which comes through in many places.
Risks
As touring and freeriding on the Arlberg make no sense at the moment - no danger on the slopes.
Overall impression
As I just wanted to get away as quickly as possible last weekend, I left my ski boots in the parking lot out of sheer frustration. Kindly, the lady at the ticket office at Alpe Rauz "kept" them for me...so I went back today and did a few runs - until the rain arrived at midday - as announced, right up to the highest open point - the Ulmer Hütte...rain in December at 2200m - no words...
