The snow conditions on the Arlberg are already really good: a very good base and enough snow for all variants. Only the ridges, edges and backs are a little thin and then stony.
Snow quality
Since Sunday, 15 - 20 cm have been added to the already soft snow surface on the Arlberg. Where there is no wind, 5* powder conditions. Quite strong SW wind in exposed areas, which has shifted the loose snow quite a bit. So wind-influenced in places, but still fine to ski.
Risks
Generally good conditions according to the avalanche report. The wind has created local accumulations of drift snow. These are very easy to trigger, but not very thick.
Overall impression
Top day with great conditions on the Arlberg. 20 cm of fresh snow on a loose base and generally safe conditions.
