Snow condition

Good snow conditions above 2000m with about 10-15cm of fresh snow last night. There has been about 40cm of fresh snow over the week. Some of it changed from rain to snow. The strong west wind has filled the gullies and east-facing slopes with powder. Off-piste there is still some stone contact to be expected, but a good base is currently forming.

Snow quality

4 von 5 Sterne

The snow is dusty, light and powdery. The east-facing slopes in particular had up to 40cm of fresh snow! Really great snow that was effortless to ski. You could already jump a few cliffs and the wind created some great windslips.

Risks

Due to the heavy accumulations of drift snow, there were quite a few small slab avalanches. The avalanche danger was rated at 2 or 3.

Overall impression

Huge day with fantastic snow. Unfortunately, there were sometimes very long waiting times at the lifts.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
