Snow report Arlberg, 12/31/2014
Bester Sonnenschein mit wenig Leuten. Durch 5 Tage Schnee waren auch die Steine langsam zugedeckt und man konnte etwas freier seine Linie wählen.

Snow condition
After it had snowed for 5 days straight, with a total of around 1.2m of fresh snow, the conditions were pretty good in the terrain. However, due to gusty winds, there was some drifting, and the stones under the sometimes thin layer of snow were a risk.
Snow quality
The snow was very good to ski on in the morning as there was a lot of fresh snow. As the day progressed, the temperatures on the south-facing slopes dropped to 5 degrees and the snow became very heavy. North-facing slopes were good to ski on all day.
Risks
Despite all the fresh snow, the avalanche warning level was only 3, which was confirmed by the fact that very little avalanche blasting took place.
Overall impression
With great sunshine, few other freeriders (as everyone was celebrating) and good snow conditions, it was a good day all round. As the afternoon progressed, the choice of slope direction became increasingly important, but there's something for everyone on the Arlberg.
