Snow report Arosa, 03/15/2026
A really good day in parts with carefree turns in the morning, but on the sunny side, the base was beaten. For a March Powday this season, I give it 4*, also because of the spontaneous sunshine.
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Altitude
1500 - 2800m
Avalanche warning level
considerable (3)
Exposition
Snow condition
Blown-in areas nicely filled in, steep south/west-facing up to 2500m before the storm, hardly any more underlayment partly sharky
Snow quality
super powdery in the morning, sunny side where the fog has lifted, very fast with a sting but very fun until the evening cold. then quickly put the lid on.
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
Good binding in constantly plowed terrain, otherwise the poor structure revealed itself in some larger, spontaneous avalanches during the snowfall Nevertheless, some steep stuff was also skied.
Avalanche activity
Dry loose snow avalanche (small)
Altitude: 1800 m
Overall impression
Quickly diminishing with sun
