Anything going on in the Axamer Lizum? - Unfortunately not. But another day on the slopes.

Snow condition
There is also some snow in the valley in Axams. Along the road into the Lizum it already looks like winter. The trees are well covered in snow. At the Lizum valley station there is snow everywhere. At the start with the 4-seater chair, however, you can quickly see that there is only 10-20 cm of snow in the forest in open areas and hardly any between the trees. In the open terrain between the tree line and approx. 2300m, the wind has hit hard. Many ridges and slopes close to the ridges have been completely blown away and there is less snow here than there was a week ago.
Snow quality
In very few places you can then ski on unaffected snow. This is also easy to ski on due to the cold and is nice and fluffy. The rest is difficult to judge, as there is not enough snow to ski off-piste or the blown-in areas are not skiable in the current avalanche situation.
Risks
According to the LLB over 2000mh 3. 3 is described as critical in the blog. The wind signs point to this. Cold temperatures, snowfall and strong winds are a very bad combo. Coupled with poor old snow cover, these are simply bad conditions for off-piste adventures.
Overall impression
Wind and a continuing lack of base made off-piste adventures impossible. Unfortunately, the slopes are also still not free of stones and appealing. Unfortunately, you will have to wait a little longer for freeriding in the Lizum.
