Ski tour to the Roßkogel
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
Tour start from Rangger Köpfl at 2000m. Accordingly, great snow conditions. On the Roßkogel itself, apart from the main gully, there are a few other variants. The north ridge is blown off, which was not necessarily a disadvantage for the ascent.
Snow quality
Northeastern descent with about 10cm of great powder, also rather soft underneath. Blown off outside the protected areas and partially capped.
Risks
Sure, the gutters are blown in. However, as mentioned above, the quantities are relatively small. On the other hand, you have to watch out for sluff.
Overall impression
Super tour that was already a bit on the to-do list. Although there were already lines in it from yesterday, we still found alternative routes. The weather was also better than forecast. Definitely makes you want to do more!
