Perfect for riding right down into the valley at 1600m. No ground contact even in the forest.

On top approx. 20cm powder layer underneath a hard layer that carries.
Risks
Even the layer of fresh snow, which is not necessarily well connected to the hard old snow cover, did not sluff at 40 degrees.
Overall impression
I was actually expecting an overcast day and was then rewarded with pure sunshine. Plus the fine powder layer - a dream ski touring day.
