Snow condition
The snow conditions are still good at altitude (from approx. 1,900 m). Below that, it is slightly damp and the snow is much heavier.
Snow quality
The good news first: on the shaded side and from a certain altitude, you can actually still find good powder. But at higher altitudes, the wind has a big influence and the snow quality changes frequently, so you regularly switch from powder to hardpack or hard layers. Unfortunately, it is far too warm, so you have to stay higher up to find good snow.
Risks
Still dangerous, especially in the north-facing gullies. The fresh snow of the last week and the weak old snow cover still pose a great danger for skiers. Caution is definitely called for here. When digging the snow profile, the weak layer of snow practically runs towards you. In view of last week's avalanche accidents (https://lawinen.report/blog/lawinenwarndienst.blogspot.com/1630547260134224202) in the region and altitude, caution is still required here.
Overall impression
The snow conditions and snow quality are good overall. Unfortunately, the avalanche situation does not currently permit steeper tours and the use of the good snow in the Lizum. With the forecast of fresh snow and wind, the situation is not likely to improve in the near future.
