Snow is still in short supply. Freeriding in the ski area is out of the question, a few cautious ski tours can be done with a lot of motivation and little fear of stone contact, but there is (still) enough snow on the slopes, but even here there are always stones lying around... In mid-February there is not even a real basis for (possible) future snowfalls, so slowly you really wonder if winter is really completely absent in some areas of the Alps.

The snow wouldn't be great, but actually ok. Hard on sunny slopes, but soon firns up, on shady slopes often crushed snow, but sometimes still settled powder. Despite the lack of snow, everything is possible and the impossible is heavily groomed.

Risks

Certainly not without, even if the situation is slowly easing. You still have to watch out for old snow and, especially on the ridges, drift snow.

Skiing on the slopes is quite nice, but there's hardly enough snow even for moguls...

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
