...and then it got warm again!

Snow condition
Terrible at the bottom (below 1500) and at the very top (ridge etc.). Even in between, wind-exposed reeds are almost completely blown off. Free slopes between 1700 and 2400 mostly filled, free route choice possible - but with residual shark risk. For February only 2 stars.
Snow quality
We were still early enough to find some fine powder. Otherwise it was nice and slushy in the morning. Everything that had sunshine on Saturday was already lousy in the morning. Contrary to the forecast, a light veil of clouds. Despite this, the temperatures really affected the snow in all the expos. You could literally see it settling. In the afternoon, all that was left everywhere was nasty cardboard.
Risks
The snow cover is a horror! We were below 2400 and therefore not in the aforementioned old snow problem, but the wet layers with loose muck underneath are also here. When looking for beacons, we broke through, but couldn't break the lid at knee height. The only good thing about the warmth: maybe it helps with binding. Drift snow was manageable.
Overall impression
Nice day behind the lizum, where we took the last chance to ride the soft snow before the heat came. All expos will probably have lids on them from tomorrow. This winter you really have to ride the stuff as soon as it's down.
