Snow condition
Even if it is of course still rather thin on the ground, the snow conditions in many places now allow you to ski at full throttle without fear. Downhill runs to the Kemater Alm and Axamer Kögele are possible. On the Kögele descent, however, you have to watch out for stones at the bottom. There is constant contact with the ground. There is plenty of snow in forest aisles. You should avoid dense trees.

Snow quality
Widespread powder in the ski area. Not the easiest kind, but still very good to ski. You can feel the tracks from yesterday, but the nightly refill was a lot of fun and the hits of the old tracks are quite soft. Better than just Dust on Crust. Strong wind loads only in a few places. Towards Kemater Alm, however, there is probably much more drift snow. Also at the start of the Axamer Kögele descent there is a short section of poorly skiable drift snow, then powder.
Wind drifted snow
Intensity: strong
Above: 1700 m
Risks
Wind intensity: High (40 – 60 km/h)
There were really strong gusts from the ski area basin in the direction of Senderstal. A lot of snow was certainly transported. The old snow problem is also lurking. At one point, there were clearly visible cracks in the drift snow near the ridge. Better to stay defensive.
Overall impression
Surprisingly good and stress-free morning without the usual bad Innsbruck powder rush. Good viewing windows again and again. But often also whiteout. No more snowfall during the day. Subjective fun factor 4-5 stars. Because of the objective conditions, however, we still only give it 3. There was comparatively nothing going on in the touring area. Given the current avalanche situation, this is probably reasonable.
